Business Visas

Business Visas are visas that address the needs of businesses. Although business visas are granted to benefit a company, it is usually granted to an individual. To obtain a business based visa, supporting documentation will be needed to support the visa application. This could be as minor as a supporting letter or a wage slip or it could be much more detailed (e.g. corporate papers, an office).

  • B1 or the Business Visa enables a person to travel to the US for up to six months to conduct business related activities
  • B1 in Lieu of H-1B Visa is a type of business visa that enables a company to send one of its employees to the US to work on a specific contract
  • H1B Visa is an employment based visa where a US based company sponsors a foreign national for employment purposes.
  • L1 Visa or the Intra-company Transfer Visa enables a company to transfer one of its employees to the US for up to three years.
  • E2 Investment Visa is an investment based visa which does not require a person to invest a minimum amount.
  • EB5 Visa is an investment based visa which requires a minimum investment of $500,000.

Individual Visas

Individual visas are visas that address the needs of individuals. Like business based visas, supporting documentation will be needed to support the application. With the exception of the fiancée visa and marital visa, applicant will need to demonstrate strong ties to the UK. These are ties that will compel the applicant to return to the UK. Failure to provide the appropriate supporting evidence will result in a failed application.

  • B2 or the Tourist Visa enables a person to travel to the US for up to six months to travel across the US
  • F1 Visa or the Student Visa enables a person to go to the US to study.
  • J1 Visa is an Exchange Visa
  • K1 Visa or the Fiancée Visa enables a person to travel to the US and marry their fiancé.
  • O1 Visa enables a person to travel to the US as an entertainer or as an athlete.
  • P1 Visa is similar to the O1 except it is for a group of entertainers or athletes rather than a single individual.
  • R1 Visa is a visa that enables a person to travel to the US for religious purposes.
  • Spousal Visa is a visa where a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder sponsors his or her spouse to come to the US.
  • Waivers of Ineligibility for people who have been arrested or convicted or served a custodial sentence.
